JUMPSUITS FOR WORK!

Work it: The Jumpsuit You Can Wear To The Office

You might feel like you’ve exhausted every work outfit possible, but we bet you never thought you could wear a jumpsuit to the office. True, this look can be quite casual if it’s linen or strapless, but with the right cutting and color, there’s no reason why you can’t be fashionable and work-appropriate. Just stick with black, white or navy and pair with pumps and/or a blazer!

With the sun (seemingly) never setting, a lot of this activity (rooftop meet-ups, happy hours, and dinners oh my!) spills into the workweek. Unfortunately, our 9-to-5 isn't shrinking accordingly. So, we need to maneuver around dress codes, varying temperatures, and other fashion-specific concerns that come with the summertime territory.

That's where the jumpsuit, once again, swoops in for the win: Our off-duty favorite comes in a variety of silhouettes that accommodates many dress restrictions. Longer sleeves, higher necklines, knee-hitting hems — you name it, there's a one-piece that nails it. So (jump)suit up with one of the 18 pieces ahead.

  1. Choose a basic jumpsuit without any sparkles.
  2. Cover up; add a cardigan or a blazer to make it look more conservative.
  3. keep your shape, add a belt so that you don't look lost.
  4. Add jewelry like a neck piece or danglers in the same color family to look elegant.
  5. Always pick the right shoes, like a pointy toe or some heeled sandals.
  6. TIP : Always make sure you are not revealing too much skin in the office. Be professional

THE LOOK

I chose this two-tone piece because it gives the illusion of a top and trousers. It’s completely fuss free. I never have to worry about my blouse staying tucked in!, and feels perfectly polished for the office. When choosing your own 9-to-5 jumpsuit, be conscious of the fit-think tailored, and not too tight. You’ll want to leave the body-hugging numbers for your off-duty hours.
My jumpsuit is pretty minimalist with a some floral prints, I added a touch of femininity with my styling. The white danglers adds some edge to it. The rose gold watch adds a bit of in the work place look. You can add a nude blazer to give a more polished feel. The open toe block heel sandals gives the perfect finishing to the outfit which is stylish yet comfortable.
