The Bangalore Literature Festival 2016 saw book lovers, bookworms and bibliophiles basking in the winter sun and meeting writers – local, national and international.
The festival in Namma Bengaluru celebrated the creative spirit and commemorated the literary diversity Bengaluru offers, brining in conversations with the best minds in the worlds of literature.
So, what’s it all about?
There were 3 areas designated in Hotel Royal Orchid near old airport road where there were conversations on various aspects and books happening in parallel.
Let me tell in you brief some of the wonderful conversations people enjoyed,
On the first day there were conversations on topics like The Reality of British Raj, Can Epics be Tampered with?, On a Different Pitch and many more by renowned literates like; Sanjeev Kapoor, Shashi Tharoor, Sudha Murthy, Anand Neelakantan, Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Ashish Vidyarthi, Ramachandra Guha and the finale was a tribute to Bob Dylan.
The second day consisted of a magical mix of poetry, intolerance, book prize by Atta Gallata and more by the famous people like Sumant Batra, Amish Tripathi, Alan Johnson, Vivek Shanbhag, Shashi Deshpande, Mihir Sharma, Aishwarya Rajnikanth Dhanush, TV Mohandas Pai, Aakar Patel, Ramya, Harish Bijoor, Prasanna Vishwanathan, and many more.
Picture abhi baki hai…...! There were 2 finales to give the perfect deserts after the beautiful buffet of events, Anything but Khamosh! A convo with Shatrughan Sinha! And finally, it was ended by a melodious concert by Piyush Mishra!
And guess what happened? I got signed copies of the new release from Anand Neelakanthan
