BE BIASED

We are all biased in every aspect of life, whether it’s about femininity or masculinity.  It means that you are just inclined towards something you like more. That’s what I feel. Have you ever wondered whether you are feminine or not? Is there a need to be biased? Why do I need to always wear pretty pink or pastel blue dresses or feminine silhouettes to look good? Why be stereotyped, why not be androgynous, it should not be intimidating to bring out the manly side of you.

BIAS is one such brand, which was started to break stereotypes in fashion, challenging the perceptions and ideas on femininity. I associate with comfort over style, “if you are not comfortable in your own clothes, how can you be confident”.

Finding magic in the mundane and simple details of life, by doing so the same idea is put into the design philosophy of BIAS run by Mridu Mehra and Shruti Bharadwaj.
Inspired by nature and admirers of ingenuity, BIAS is all about combining opposites and aesthetics with functionality. Each of the garments is inspired from sculptures, paradoxes, everyday things that otherwise go unnoticed.

Here I have adorned the BIAS inkblot skirt and boxy crop shirt. The skirt is a wrap around which is the best invention to sustain summers! Keeps you comfortable and airy. The boxy crop shirt is again oversized and gives you all the air you require to breathe. Both the pieces have a very androgynous look. The white sneakers being add on trend giving a sporty look.
The wrap skirt being closer to the South Indian Lungi and worn by men and the Crop Shirt is a combination of a blouse and a shirt. This is a perfect balance between masculinity and femininity.
